Haiti's cholera outbreak due to S. Asian strain: UN

The cholera outbreak that has killed nearly 5,000 people in Haiti was caused by a South Asian strain that contaminated a river where tens of thousands of people wash, bathe, drink and play, says a UN independent panel of experts.
