Shaw Communications to buy Wind Mobile

Shaw Communications will spend $1.6 billion to make a foray into the wireless business, picking up Wind Mobile, the country's fourth-largest mobile operator. Wind has 940,000 subscribers across Ontario, B.C. and Alberta.
