Schermerhorn named distinguished fellow

The Society for Vascular Surgery (SVS) elected Marc Schermerhorn as a distinguished fellow during the society’s Vascular Annual Meeting held June 16-18, in Chicago. Schermerhorn is an associate professor of surgery at Harvard Medical School, as well as the director of clinical research in the Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Harvard-affiliated Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. The designation of distinguished fellow is bestowed upon an active, international, or senior member of the SVS who has made substantial, sustained contributions in two of three categories: research, service, or education.
