Xie awarded for biophysics contributions

Mallinckrodt Professor of Chemistry and Chemical Biology Sunney Xie will receive the Founders Award from the Biophysical Society for his influential contributions to the study of biological systems at the single-molecule level and for the development of nonlinear vibrational microscopy. The Founders Award is given to scientists for outstanding achievement in any area of biophysics. Xie will receive $1,000. Xie will receive the award at the society’s 56th annual meeting on Feb. 28 in San Diego. For more information.
