Weather update

Thursday, February 7, 2013 - 21:10 in Earth & Climate

With severe weather approaching the Cambridge/Boston area, Harvard University will curtail operations at midday on Friday. Modified schedules and staffing plans will vary across the Schools and departments, so please look for more specific information from your local leaders. Snow is expected to begin falling in the morning and become heavy during the late afternoon and may reach 16 to 24 inches. We will continue to closely monitor the forecast. Should weather conditions warrant further schedule changes, or class and event cancellations, we will distribute information through various channels including MessageMe and email. Updates will also be posted to the Harvard Emergency page, the University homepage and 866-496-NEWS. Employees with Harvard ID may park for free tomorrow near the Cambridge/Allston campus in either the 52 Oxford St. garage or the Soldiers Field Park garage at 111 Western Ave.
