WEST HARTFORD, Conn. – Elle Hagedorn followed her own miss with 8 seconds to play to give the Harvard women’s basketball team a 61-57 win at Hartford Thursday night in the first round of the Women’s National Invitation Tournament. Hagedorn’s last-second bucket accounted for her only points of the night but it ended a 5-0 run by Hartford to secure the victory. Harvard had gone on top by eight, 59-51, with 1:15 to play before the Hartford Hawks stormed back with five straight in the closing minute. The women continue in the second round against Drexel University at 7 p.m. Saturday. To read the full story, visit gocrimson.com.
