Elizabeth Banks named Hasty Pudding’s Woman of the Year

Elizabeth Banks has been named the 2020 Woman of the Year by the Hasty Pudding Theatricals, the oldest theatrical organization in the U.S. She will be honored on Jan. 31. Banks, an actress in both film and television, also is known for breaking ground in Hollywood as a female director and producer. She has been recognized for her performances in projects including “The Hunger Games” franchise, “Love & Mercy,” and “The Lego Movie.” Banks is also a three-time Emmy nominee for her recurring roles in “30 Rock” and “Modern Family.” The Woman of the Year Award is bestowed annually on performers who have made lasting and impressive contributions to the world of entertainment.
