A blood test could soon determine if a fetus has Down syndrome

In an analysis of blood samples from 753 pregnant women, every case of Down syndrome was identified, but a few resulted in false positives.Women may soon be able to find out very early in their pregnancies whether they are carrying a fetus with Down syndrome by offering a simple blood sample.
