Head lice drug seems to stem spread of malaria

U.S. researchers in Senegal have found that ivermectin helps kill off disease-carrying mosquitoes that feed from people with the drug in their system.Researchers have hit upon a potential new tool to fight the spread of malaria — a drug commonly used to treat head lice and heartworm.
