A caffeine-gobbling microbe

Cosmic Log: The bacterium Pseudomonas putida CBB5 really does live on caffeine, according to researchers who identified the proteins it uses to breakdown the compound. The finding could lead to cheaper drugs and help clean up polluted environments.
