A group of researchers at the University of South Carolina has developed a web-based drought monitoring tool that calculates drought and displays data visually. Funded by a NOAA grant, the tool, which has been used successfully in North and South Carolina, will be available to water resource managers in an additional 11 Eastern Seaboard states.
