The pistol gunsight has remained unchanged for more than a century. That is bad news for the eye and brain, which has a lot to process during aiming, says a UAB vision scientist who has designed a new gunsight that relies on subconscious ability. The opti-sight notch looks like an incomplete triangle sitting atop a gun barrel.
