Researchers at Saint Joseph's University in Philadelphia, Pa., are working to isolate the bacterial pathogen Xylella fastidiosa, a bacterial pathogen causing the early demise of some campus oak trees. They will then study how climate affects the progression of the disease it causes, which is known as leaf scorch.
