New UIC 'Cyber-Commons' Wall Pops with 3-D Imagery

University of Illinois at Chicago's Electronic Visualization Laboratory has added a third dimension to its information-sharing "Cyber-Commons." Images can now be shared in 3-D by anyone with a wireless device in the conference room, or by joining the conversation remotely via broadband networks. The 3-D capability will also be tested by EVL for use in its new generation "CAVE" automatic virtual environment facility, to be unveiled next year.
