Lloyd J. Old, "Father of Modern Tumor Immunology," Dies

The Cancer Research Institute (CRI), a U.S. nonprofit organization dedicated to transforming cancer patient care by supporting and coordinating global research in tumor immunology, announced today that CRI founding scientific and medical director Lloyd J. Old, M.D., regarded as the "Father of Modern Tumor Immunology," died early this morning at his home in New York City from prostate cancer. He was 79 years old.
