A Winsome Climate Panel Presents Its New Cast

Embarking on a bit of a charm offensive, the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change has released the names of the more than 800 scientists who have been selected to participate in writing its fifth assessment report on climate change, due out in 2014. The panel is charged with releasing periodic reports summarizing the state of knowledge about climate change as a guide to policymakers.
