This week brought some fascinating news of the future to PopSci.com. For starters, scientists stunned nematode worms with UV phasers straight out of Star Trek... and they're not ruling out future applications of the technology for super stun weapons. Not to be outdone, DARPA's working on bringingcryogenic technology to the battlefield to freeze brain trauma in its tracks. IBM's super computer has also mapped an entire cat's brain (brains are hot this week). In other news, it turns out that the oceans on Europa contain enough oxygen to support space fish....
