Spanish hotels with environmental certification withhold information on waste disposal

Around 140 Spanish hotels have been certified in line with the European EMAS environmental certification system, which obliges them to publish information on their environmental policies and actions. However, researchers from the King Juan Carlos I University have shown that only 0.9% of these hotels provide information on their greenhouse gas emissions, 1.7% on their CO2 emissions, and none at all on their impact on biodiversity or waste disposal...
