When Oceans Get Warmer Carbon Dioxide Uptake On Marine Plankton Will Be Reduced, Potentially Increasing Climate Change

Wednesday, April 8, 2009 - 07:22 in Earth & Climate

Melting ice at the poles, rising sea-level, extreme weather conditions: the signs of climate change are ubiquitous. Biologists have now shown that the uptake of CO2 by marine plankton organisms will be reduced in response to ocean warming, thereby potentially feeding back to climate change.
