Lies We Tell Our Children

Beginning in elementary school and continuing all the way through high school graduation, our children are subjected to a systematic program of deliberate, intentional falsehood and misinformation*. This odious ritual of indoctrination takes many forms, but it often begins with a picture, a picture that looks like this: Tell me, how many times have you seen pictures resembling this one? On the walls of school classrooms? In school libraries? In school textbooks and picture books?
