Of all the impacts that anthropogenic activities can have on the environment, one of the most complex is the effect on climate. Even in the absence of human interference, climatological processes show large interannual variation, and are influenced by multiple factors--including local fluctuations in temperature humidity, solar activity, and volcanoes.
