White Dwarf Star Collects Planet Debris | Animation

The Hubble Space Telescope has detected silicon (a rocket planet element), in a white dwarf's atmosphere. It is the result of asteroids being ripped apart by the gravity of the dead star and impacting other debris (white flashes in the animation).
