Kurds play oil card in coalition talks

BAGHDAD, Dec. 16 (UPI) -- Iraq's Kurds are demanding greater control over their oil resources in return for supporting Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki's new coalition government after nine months of political intrigue triggered by an inconclusive parliamentary election in March.
