Shrinking of Canadian lakes measured

FAIRBANKS, Alaska, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- A satellite survey of Canada's 1.3 million lakes found the country unexpectedly lost 2,500 square miles of water surface from 2000 to 2009, researchers said.
