FEATURE: The Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings begin

Image: UNSW/iStockphoto On 1 July 2012, 27 Nobel Laureates and over 590 young researchers from around the world kicked off the Lindau Nobel Laureate Meetings held in Lindau, Germany. President of the council for the meetings, Countess Bettina Bernadotte, officially opened the conference, which she said would focus on new generations of scientists with a goal of “connecting scientist and society at large”. President of the Republic of Singapore, Dr Tony Tan, esteemed guest at the opening ceremony, stressed the importance of this goal and continual new research and international relationships in the scientific world. Over the six days of the 62nd conference, laureates and researchers will collaborate together to discuss projects and exchange ideas...
