All victims, six of them in California, have recovered. Officials say the new virus is easily passed, but does not appear to be especially virulent. Researchers plan to go to Mexico, where the viruses in 12 cases match six in the U.S. As Mexico City closed schools and began taking other measures to contain the spread of a swine flu outbreak that may have infected hundreds of people and killed as many as 60, U.S. officials said Friday they had found one new case in San Diego, bringing the total number in the United States cases to eight.
