Kid-Invented Device May Calm Dogs' Separation Anxiety

Brooke Martin wanted to ease her golden retriever’s separation anxiety. So, the 13-year-old invented a device that allows owners to talk to their dogs and dispense treats remotely. Her idea has secured her a place in a young scientists’ competition.
