Oldest Human DNA Reveals Mysterious Branch of Humanity

The sequencing of 400,000-year-old human genetic material is a "breakthrough," says the study's lead author. The DNA, which may belong to an as-yet-unknown hominid, also sheds light on a close relatives of Neanderthals called the Denisovans.
