Harnessing Cloud Computing for Data-intensive Research on Oceans, Galaxies

The University of Washington will apply cloud computing to analyze climate simulation results and astronomical images. The new grants are part of a program sponsored by the National Science Foundation, Google and IBM that brings cloud computing to U.S. universities.
