Study: Transcendental Meditation reduces rate of cardiac incidents by nearly 50 percent

Patients with heart disease who practiced the stress-reducing Transcendental Meditation technique had nearly 50 percent lower rates of death, heart attack and stroke than their non-meditating counterparts who followed a health education program, according to a new study published in the June 27, 2011 online edition of the American Medical Association's Archives of Internal Medicine.
