Earlier this week, President Obama appointed the first woman to lead the U.S. Secret Service in its 148-year history. Julia Pierson, who has more than 30 years of experience in the Secret Service, will be charged with repairing the image of the federal agency, which was rocked by a prostitution scandal in Columbia last year that cost several agents their jobs.
