Scientist Daniel Kaplan has found it challenging to study radionuclides in contaminated wetlands due to the radioactive hazard and the biogeochemical complexity of the subsurface soils. Fortunately, he's able to safely pursue his research at EMSL's Radiochemistry Annex.
