Genetic clue to 'emergency' glaucoma discovered

Researchers have discovered a gene implicated in an acute and severe form of glaucoma known as angle-closure glaucoma (ACG). The gene's activity points to previously unsuspected mechanisms involved in both ACG and infant eye development.
