Cardiac rehabilitation programs benefit patients after mini or mild stroke, study suggests

Cardiac rehabilitation appears to benefit patients who have had a transient ischemic attack (TIA) or mild, non-disabling stroke by lowering risk factors that put them at risk for subsequent stroke. It is feasible, effective and safe for patients who have had a TIA or mild stroke to participate in traditional cardiac rehabilitation programs.
