Black Hole Snacks On A Super-Jupiter | Animation

Astronomers have detected a black hole consuming the outer layers of a brown dwarf or a giant planet. Observations of galaxy NGC 4845 by ESA's Integral Space Observatory and XMM-Newton revealed an x-ray flare consistent with black hole activity.
