Cosmonaut Valery Kubasov, Apollo-Soyuz Crewmember, Dies at 79

Valery Kubasov, a Soviet cosmonaut whose three space missions included the first joint flight between the U.S. and Russia, died on Feb. 19, 2014. He was described as a "true pioneer of spaceflight and international cooperation in space."
