Parasitic wasp uses zinc-tipped drill to bore into fruit

Brooks HaysBANGALORE, India, May 29 (UPI) -- Scientists found that some parasitic wasps employ a narrow drill tipped with zinc and outfitted with saw-like teeth on the end to bore their eggs inside fruit.
