Exploding white dwarfs produce most of the lithium in the universe

Brooks HaysGRANADA, Spain, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Stellar novae -- periodic explosions in binary star systems with a white dwarf -- produce most of the universe's lithium, new research suggests.
