WikiLeaks alleged informant pushes for charges to be dropped

A U.S. army private accused of sending hundreds of thousands of classified war logs and diplomatic cables to WikiLeaks in the biggest security breach in the country's history is trying to avoid trial by claiming he has already been punished by confinement conditions that a UN investigator called cruel, inhuman and degrading.
