Photons May Emit Faster-Than-Light Particles, Physicists Suggest

Photons may live for at least 1 quintillion years, and when they die, they may give off particles that travel faster than light. A candidate for these speedy particles is the neutrino, a ghostly particle that rarely interacts with matter.
