EPA paves way for broad emission limits

The agency's proposed 'endangerment finding' may result in regulation of automobiles and other greenhouse-gas producers. The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday declared that industrial greenhouse gases endanger human health and well-being, opening the way to broad new regulation of automobiles, power plants, factories and even farms, in an effort to slash carbon dioxide and other planet-heating gases.
