HAMMOND, LA -- Rapid population growth and urbanization have raised concerns over stormwater runoff contamination. Studies on watersheds indicate that excess nutrients, specifically nitrate?nitrogen and soluble reactive phosphorus are found in stormwater runoff in many new urban areas. Link: http://www.ashs.org
