Complex heart problems fixed without open-heart surgery

Pediatric cardiac physicians have implanted a pulmonary heart valve without open-heart surgery. The valve is placed into the beating heart through a vein in the patient's leg. After the procedure, patients spend a night in the hospital and are discharged home the following morning.
