'Small fry' fish just as vulnerable to population plunges as sharks or tuna

Sharks, tuna, billfish and other oceanic top predators have suffered major population declines in recent decades, causing many researchers to consider them the species at the highest risk of extinction. But now researchers have found that anchovies, sardines and other small fishes are at an equal or greater risk of suffering a collapse.
