Cosmic Clocks Keep Time in the Search for Gravitational Waves

The tick-tock of very accurate cosmic clocks is helping scientists search for ripples in the fabric of space-time, known as gravitational waves. These so-called Pulsar Timing Arrays will look for waves from the merging of very massive black holes.
