Court strikes down EPA pollution rule

The EPA 'good neighbor rule' was the latest attempt to regulate high-polluting states in order to protect downwind Eastern states. An appeals court panel finds that the EPA overstepped its authority.WASHINGTON — A federal appeals court Tuesday struck down a key Obama administration air pollution rule meant to protect Eastern residents from polluters in neighboring states, saying that the Environmental Protection Agency must grant states more time to implement protections.
