Antarctic Ozone Hole Hits 2013 Peak Size

The ozone hole over Antarctica reached its biggest extent last month, clocking in at almost twice the size of Europe. Still, the phasing out of harmful chemicals in the atmosphere has reduced the size of the ozone hole over the last two decades.
