Study yields rich dossier of cancer-linked protein's associates

Proteins often don't do anything in our cells by themselves. Their role in a given physiological process - good or bad - is typically determined by binding to one or more other proteins. So as researchers try to figure out why the enzyme PP2A is implicated in many cancers, a new study provides a potentially significant break in the case. It identifies 98 proteins that are very likely to bind with PP2A, making them potential partners in crime worth investigating.
