The GOP has a feminine face, study finds

Female politicians with stereotypically feminine facial features are more likely to be Republican than Democrat, and the correlation increases the more conservative the lawmaker's voting record, find two researchers who looked at facial features among members of the U.S. House of Representatives. The findings raise questions about the extent to which constituents and party elites select women candidates on the basis of physical attributes that convey such values as traditional sex roles.
