Atlantis ends Hubble trip with California landing

The shuttle is diverted to Edwards Air Force Base after 2 days of bad weather in Florida. The crew's repairs have extended the space telescope's life. The space shuttle Atlantis and its crew of seven returned to Earth on Sunday morning at Edwards Air Force base in the Mojave Desert, announcing its approach with twin sonic booms.
